Simplicity 7084 Oliver Goodin designed classic heirloom girl's mock bib dress pattern in sizes 2 to 6X. Uncut pattern is still factory folded from 1990. Mock bib dress give the appearance of two separate pieces but unlike a bib the mock bib will always stay in place so your child will have that tidy look all day.
The mock bib dress is a dress for all seasons. Depending on the fabric used you can have a dress for each season of the year. View 1 can be used as a pinafore or sundress. View 2 is for the most elaborate of occassions, whether using velveteen for Christmas or a light weight fabric for Easter. The generous amount of fabric and eyelets used is certain to turn heads. The only heirloom techniques needed for View 2 are used on sleeves. View 3 has pin tucks on the bodice, which is made simply by changing the needles in your sewing machine. View 4 has an heirloom bodice, which is also another good Easter selection. An extra treat in this pattern is the additional slip. You can hem your dress so that the eyelet peeks out from underneath.
